Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc.'s ignition coils help generate optimal engine efficiency and better gas mileage. Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc.'s small ignition coil with high energy output that improves combustion strength when using EGR. An Ignition Coil is composed of a primary coil and secondary coil which have different number of turns. When the current to the primary coil is cut off, high voltage is generated to the secondary coil by electromagnetic induction. This integration places the ignition coil closer to the spark plug providing the most efficient spark while at the same time reducing the need for spark plug wires. It is very adoptable to SOHC and DOHC engines.
