Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc.'s oil pumps protect engine components from frictional wear and overheating. Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. oil pumps ensure sufficient lubrication and smooth oil circulation. This oil pump will provide proper oil flow to protect critical engine components. An oil pump supplies oil under pressure to all moving parts throughout the engine to make it run smoothly and quietly. The oil also carries away heat to keep internal engine parts within their specified operating temperature range. Adequate engine oil flow is critical for maintaining engine performance and durability. This oil pump is carefully constructed by the engineers at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. using premium materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to keep your engine cool and properly lubricated.
This electric oil pump was developed for cooling the transmission in a hybrid car. The new pump features low cost and is easy to install on the transmission thanks to a design that integrates the pump motor and controller (inverter) into the pump housing. The unit also features a proprietary Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. motor drive technique that does not require a position sensor for the motor rotor. Instead, the technique estimates the rotor position by taking advantage of the tiny changes in winding inductance that occur in response to changing rotor position. The technique also overcomes the problem of low torque at slow speeds to ensure good performance even at very low oil temperatures. To ensure that the vehicle moves off smoothly, an electric oil pump system is being developed to maintain the oil pressure in the transmission while the engine is stopped.
Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. Low Noise Technologies are adopted for EOP configuration. This is the electric motor that drives the CVT transmission oil pump providing power to control the transmission ratio (drive).
Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc.'s unique mechanism [ 2-Step Variable Displacement Oil Pump] saves oil pump power consumption at middle and high engine speed. This Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. variable displacement oil pumps for engine lubrication to improve fuel efficiency in response to stricter environmental and fuel efficiency regulations. To meet such demand, Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. has developed the variable displacement vane pump (VDVP), a variable displacement oil pump that is integrated into the front cover. In addition, the use of two springs enables the oil pressure to be controlled in two stages from low engine speeds. This improves fuel efficiency by 2% compared with conventional pumps in the mode fuel economy range (40% power consumption reduction).
Reduce pump power consumption during New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) mode by accurately controlling 2 Stage pressure control.
