Tokyo, October 27, 2015 - Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. today announced that it will be participating at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) 2015, to be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States, from Tuesday November 3rd to Thursday November 5th. The Hitachi Automotive Systems Group will be introducing a wide range of aftermarket products at the event.
Hitachi Automotive Systems is focused on furthering the evolution of mobility technology in the three business areas of the environment, safety and information and creating value for society by contributing to the building of vehicles that connect people and society by providing ultralow fuel consumption and high safety for a society that is low-carbon, zero-accident, and safe and comfortable. Hitachi Automotive Systems handles a broad range of aftermarket products that include airflow sensors and shock absorbers, all of which utilize the company's technology built up over its many years of developing automotive equipment.
With car ownership growing globally, it is said that annual vehicle production in North America will increase 8% from the current level to 19 million units by 2020*1. This expansion of the market is expected to be accompanied by a growing demand from vehicle users for automotive parts replacement and repair in the region.
To expand its aftermarket business in the United States, Hitachi Automotive Systems is exhibiting at Stand No. 5072 in AAPEX 2015 held in Las Vegas, Nevada, which with over 5,000 companies participating is the largest aftermarket products trade fair in North America. At this time, Hitachi Automotive Systems Group’s new package of commercially available shock absorber which was specially designed for the North Americas market. Also, among the products on display will be VTC solenoids which the company is deploying in North America from the current fiscal year. The exhibition of a wide-range products line-up for aftermarket will help increase the product brand recognition and penetration of the Hitachi Automotive Systems Group in the U.S..
